Are you ready to add some drama to your makeup routine? Follow these simple steps to create a bold and smoky eye look that will turn heads wherever you go!
Step 1: Choose Your Colors To create a dramatic look, you'll need four blending shades - black, dark brown, medium brown, and a highlight color close to your natural skin tone - and a base color for your lid. Make sure to choose matte-finish products for smoother blending.
Step 2: Apply the Dark Brown Shadow Using a thin, stiff dome brush, create a diagonal line from the outside corner of the eye to the outside corner of the lid's crease. Pull the shadow inward onto the lid, creating a "C" shape on the outside corner of your eyelid.
Step 3: Apply the Medium Brown Shadow Using the same brush, apply the medium brown shadow in a sideways, windshield-wiper motion just above the crease of your eyelid.
Step 4: Apply and Blend the Highlight Color Apply the highlight color between the medium color and your eyebrow using a small circular motion, subtly blending it into the medium color below it.
Step 5: Apply and Blend the Black Shadow Using a smaller brush, apply the black shadow in the same area and shape as the dark brown shadow. Use the larger brush to blend the colors together and soften the effect.
Step 6: Apply the Base Color Apply the base color to the center of your eyelid using a flat brush, pressing the flat side onto the eyelid without covering the darker color you applied earlier.
Step 7: Blend the Colors One Last Time Switch back to your dome brush for blending, buffing the darker outside corner of the eye toward the base color in small circular motions. Keep blending any sudden changes in color to create a natural transition.
And there you have it! A bold and dramatic eye look that's sure to make a statement. Experiment with different color combinations and techniques to make the look your own. Have fun and enjoy your newfound smoky eye!
